The debut album of Jessica Marlowe & the Wildtracks, ‘i Bring you Here’, is now available in the mottomotto records shop.
Big big thank you to all those people who came to the album launch despite the concentration of religious festivities around this date (hope we fed you enough spiritual vibes and sonic/chocolate treats). Special thanks to Roshi & Pars Radio for an excellent set, to the people at Ryan’s Bar for their hospitality, to Matt for a heroic fight with the resident sound equipment and to Lady Lucy for getting everyone dancing! Wishing everyone HAPPY LISTENING and all round cosmic communion.
Jessica Marlowe & The Wildtracks will be releasing their debut album ‘i Bring you Here’ on mottomotto this April. The album launch will take place on Saturday 4 April at Ryan’s Bar, Stoke Newington (181 Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 0UL) from 8pm. As guests, the band have invited Roshi & Pars Radio. They will also be selling exclusive CD promos of their digital release. Don’t miss it! More info here.
“The Wildtracks is the songwriting and band project of Jessica Marlowe. Before forming the Wildtracks, Jessica was the singer and co- writer of the Bristol-based experimental band Mooz. Jessica also writes, composes and produces music for film and theatre as well as working as a sound artist. After writing solo for seven years, the Wildtracks were formed in London in 2009 and include Boris Exton (keyboards, fx and loop pedals) and Michael Ho (drums).
After years of perfecting their songs through live performances, the Wildtracks have finally recorded their debut album, produced by Dillip Harris (Micachu and the Shapes) and Richard Whitehead. The songs for the album, entitled ‘i Bring you Here’ were recorded in Berlin at Radio Transmission Records studio, as well as in Jessica’s studio in London.
Jessica cites film soundtracks as a great influence on her approach to song writing, drawing from experience as well as the imaginative and fictional. The mood of the 7-track release is one of yearning, loss, hope and imaginings. Jessica’s eclectic influences include the film music of Burt Bacharach, Bulgarian music, Kate Bush, PJ Harvey, Talk Talk, spiritual song, Rock n Roll and Blues.”

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from mottomotto!
Our first year is coming to an end. We have issued our first two records – Now’s ‘Innard Listeningestion‘ EP and Rosie Okae’s ‘we know when to shout‘ album – and learnt lots of stuff along the way. Thank you to all the radio stations, shops, musicians, fellow labels, and friends for support!
Also happy to announce that we have great plans for 2015… Stay tuned for Rosie’s launch party and a very dance-centric year, featuring the release of a house/techno themed double vinyl dance compilation, curated by Justin Paton. A further dance album is in the planning stages.
Listening forward to serving your ears and feet in the future!
We are super excited about our new pop release, Rosie Okae’s debut album ‘We know when to shout’. You can listen to it and buy it here, as well as at other online shops (Amazon, itunes etc). The album is available as a download and as a beautifully designed CD. Each copy comes with a postcard of the cover.
And if that isn’t enough, Justin Paton’s exclusive acid-house-style dance remix can be downloaded for free here:
Tracks from Now’s ‘Innard Listeningestion’ EP were recently played on WFMU and Resonance FM, and are also featuring as part of the latest Kosmische Club Mix:
